AMAZING IDEAS FOR LEFTOVER HALLOWEEN CANDY

It’s the day after Halloween and if you have little ones at home like I do… then chances are your house is filled with Halloween candy.  I don’t know about you but I am already counting the days until the candy is GONE.  If you don’t have kids at home but purchased candy for the little neighborhood goblin’s then I’m guessing you might have leftovers as well.

Regardless of how you got the candy… Today I posted 20+ creative and fun ideas on what you can do with leftover candy.   The ideas include delicious recipes, creative craft ideas and much more.

Enjoy and have a wonderful weekend!

DONATE TO OUR TROOPS

OPERATION SHOE BOX – Candy Donations for our Troops

This is by far my favorite idea.  Donating individually-wrapped candies is a wonderful way to give back to our troops.  It’s also a great way to teach our children how important it is to do random acts of kindness.  Let the kids pick out their own candy for their donation.  Older kids won’t be overly thrilled with this idea but even if you get a few pieces from them at least it’s something.  If your heart is in it more and you want to give a larger donation then stock up now since Halloween candy is currently on sale.  Keep in mind that candy donations can be made year round and that heat-resistant candy is best during spring/summer months.

Candy donations may be mailed to:

Operation Shoebox
8360 East Highway 25
Belleview. Fl. 34420

DONATE TO DENTISTS

I know this sounds crazy but many local dentists and orthodontists offer candy exchanges.  In my area there are several dentists that will pay you money if you donate your candy.  It’s worth checking out and a great way for kids to get a few extra dollars.

ANYONE HAVING A BIRTHDAY PARTY THIS WEEK?

If your answer is YES… Take that extra candy and have a ball stuffing the birthday piñata!

SEND THE CANDY TO WORK

Almost everyone I know loves snacking on candy regardless of age.  Bring your candy to work and leave it on the lunch room table.  I guarantee it will disappear fast!
