LEPRECHAUN BREAKFAST – What child wouldn’t love waking up to this for breakfast?  Such an adorable idea for St. Patrick’s Day morning.  Terrific way to present the cereal in colored cupcake wrappers.  Both wrappers and paper straws available at bellabargains.ety.com!

GREEN VELVET CHEESECAKE CAKE – I love the idea of changing a red velvet cake into GREEN velvet for St. Patrick’s Day.  Add green (or any color) food coloring to your favorite cookie batter and change the look for any holiday.  Put a dot of green food coloring in the milk and the kids will love it.  Add cereal to the milk to make it even more interesting.  Serve GREEN pancakes this year with a nice big cup of GREEN orange juice.  Many local supermarkets sell GREEN bagels during this time of year.  Buy a dozen and hide them until the morning of St. Patrick’s Day.  Your kids will be shocked to see them GREEN.  My mother served us GREEN bagels every year for our school lunch.  I always forgot until I opened up my lunch in front of all my teenage friends.  I still remember being horrified each and every time.  Now I want to horrify my kids!   My husband’s mother used to dye his tunafish green every year.  Don’t forget GREEN eggs & ham.  The ideas are endless!

Thin Mint Truffles

THIN MINT COOKIE TRUFFLES – Only three ingredients AND no baking!  This is my kind of recipe that I will definitely have to try.  It’s easy enough to have the kids join in on the fun as well.  Stick a paper striped or polka dot straw (found at bellabargains.etsy.com) on the bottom of this and make it a cake pop.  Coordinate the colors with the cake pop or theme of your party.  The straws add extra color to the dessert table instead of the typical plain white sticks.

I CAN’T HELP BUT GIVE A SHOUT OUT FOR TWO GREEN ITEMS IN MY ETSY STORES…
